Wisdom
When you loose sight of your goal or become confused in your initial direction, the simplest things can distract you. The only way to be aware of your surroundings, yet stay focused on your goal is to ready yourself with a practiced response. That’s why we have forms. To give us a vehicle of personal discovery.

That was just awsome!
LOL My first thought was “ELBOW!” too! I didn’t think of the rest though; as Bill Nye would say, “Way cool!”
Welcome Master Callaway! That was an impressive display of technique, yet easy enough for the average student to learn, in time. (Kudos to Master Biernacki, for bravely putting himself in the line of fire!)
Question: Where exactly are you targeting with the palm strike from behind, and what is your intent?
Hi Rich,
That’s a good question. I believe you’re referring to the heal palm after the reverse elbow. The series of techniques is a reverse elbow, snapping the elbow back to your waist. Then allow the hand to come down towards the side of your leg. Finally, you heal palm up towards your partners under arm–I believe I hit DM Biernaki’s tricep. As a bonus, you can roll a fist.
I hope this helps. Thanks for the question.
Thanks Brenda and Amy Lynn for your comments.
Thanks, Master Callaway, for the demo. It’s great to see a woman master working a “real life” scenario. Would you please do more of the same, that is, demonstrate more techniques that women can use when they feel compromised? And thanks, Master Biernacki, you do make for a great punching bag. Just don’t let Master Dearman talk you into doing the tennis ball thing.

That was a thing of beauty! Thank you, Masters. I really enjoy the practical application tips.
