Chief Grand Master Dearman -exerpt from Tiger's Eye, Issue 31
Great video! CI Master Joe Dearman - what is the purpose of trapping the opponent’s ankle?
Wow. That is just confusing right now! I think I’m just going to need to work on it later for a while as it is making no sense to me tonight. Although having a partner might help it make more sense (as it usually does for me) so I’ll bring it up in class on Monday
Very cool idea though.
what if your opponent is holding one or both of your hands pinned down to the ground?
That’s a great question, Brenda. I’m going to hold off on providing text input for now because we’ll get a chance to see some additional videos from the Environment Change: Escaping the Mount series very soon on the Dojo. One of the segments illustrates that very scenario. To see it demonstrated makes it all more clear.
I’m looking forward to it. thank you!
Could you also look at a similar scenario except with the Sanchinka being face down and the attacker on his/her back?
