The Sanchin-Ryu Dojo is 1 year old today!! Celebrate with us!

A year ago we started a little project called “The Sanchin-Ryu Dojo”. Our goal was pretty ambitious; Connect, share and inspire as many people in the Sanchin-Ryu community as possible regardless of schedule or geographic conflicts. It was obvious that the web was our best distribution method, but is there a way to translate the magic of a Sanchin-Ryu class onto the web? Over the last year we learned a lot and come a long way!

Here’s some stats from the last year:

74 Videos featuring over 20 master level instructors
70+ hours of Live Instruction on Sanchin-Ryu DojoChat (Sunday evenings)
Over 150+ posts with over 600 comments
Members in over 30+ states, 5 countries and counting!

A time to celebrate

Over the next few weeks, we want YOU to celebrate this milestone with us! What’s the best way to celebrate you may ask? Well, in honor of Sanchin-Ryu’s altruistic tradition, we want to give.

Number 1: Share the magic

First, everyone that currently holds or renews their Sanchin-Ryu Dojo membership will be given a one-month membership to give to a friend! It can be anyone you know, this could be a great opportunity to get that person you know that’s been “talking” about going staring Sanchin-Ryu to finally commit!
(An email with a code will be sent out April 15th, be sure you’ve renewed by then!)

Number 2: Choose your favorite

Second, we want to know what your favorite video(s) of the last 12 months were. The videos that receive the most votes will be re-shot with new perspectives and answers questions left on that video’s page. This will give you a chance to re-ignite your inspiration on some concepts you may have forgotten. Cast your vote by simply emailing The Sanchin-Ryu Dojo Email

Number 3: Watch a Master train

Third, we’ve heard a lot of viewer feed-back wanting to see one of us actually training. Mark the date! April 1st you’ll get your chance to watch Master Biernacki in a rare training session with the Dearman brothers.

Number 4: Get a Free Sanchin-Ryu DVD

Fourth, we’re giving away DVDs! Enter to win by leaving a favorable review about the Sanchin-Ryu Dojo or any Sanchin-Ryu item you love at the Sanchin-Ryu Store. We’ll select three people at random on April 31st to receive the Art of Sanchin-Ryu DVD: Level One, or the Art of Sanchin-Ryu DVD, Level Two! How to enter: Visit the Sanchin-Ryu Store. Find the product you want to review. Login or create an account (free) and click “write review”. The more reviews you write the better your odds!

Number 5: Learn from the man who started it all

Finally, we’ve saved the best for last. Chief Grand Master Robert H. Dearman, the founder of Sanchin-Ryu himself will be filming a video just for the Sanchin-Ryu Dojo! What will the video be about you ask? We don’t know yet, because you get to decide! Choose one of five topics, listed on the Sanchin-Ryu Dojo.

Thank you for making this a truly enlightening year. Whether you are studying right next to Sanchin-Ryu’s home dojo in Michigan, reconnecting with us from Norway, or a starting Sanchin-Ryu for the first time as a new student in Japan. The last year has given the meaning of “extended family” a new definition. I think I can speak on behalf of all of the masters when I say, thank you for being a part of our study. It’s been a joy getting to know you all. We look forward to another year of incredible Sanchin-Ryu workouts, always ready when you are!

Congratulations to all of you. This was way too cool of an idea to put this training on line, thank you very much.

Wow…a year already?? Hard to believe, it flew by so fast! And to think too of even where it all started, I mean, now dojochats are live video feed! How much more cooler than that can ya get? (Unless we all get webcams…hmm…) Thanks to all the masters who have put in a ton of hard work into this.
