This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can’t.
It’s preprogrammed in your brain!

  1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are off your tree…) and while sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
  2. Now, while doing this, draw the number ‘6′ in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!
I told you so!!! And there’s nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you’ve not already done so.

Send it to your buddies to frustrate them too!
Thanks to Sensei Mitch Solomon for the forward.

Lol. My right foot even had trouble with the concept of “clockwise” before the hand started in! Not much hope for me, I guess. :)

I’ve gotten this on email before. It doesn’t bother me at all, I can draw 6’s all day with my right hand in the air and circle my right foot clockwise. No wonder I’m weird :P I also figured out how to go clockwise with my right foot, counterclockwise with my left, draw a backwards 6 with my left hand and a normal 6 with my right LOL. Ok, yeah, I’m a nerd.

I did it, but the foot tends to waver a bit in its circles when I begin the “6.” This is a lot like patting your head with one hand and rubbing your belly with the other, which I learned as a child.

Master Ben, I think you are teasing us when you say “can’t.” But I see your point, there is a natural way our brains are wired to move our bodies, and that can only be overridden by extremely clear focus and lots and lots of practice.
