Often we get so focused on the point of contact when executing technique we take snap back for granted. The purpose of this video is just to highlight and review why our snap back is a vital part of good technique.

    Hello Master Yonker,

When you snap back do you straighten your fist or do you keep the same bend that you have in the strike and why?

Thanks for your help, Scott Jansen

On a punch you never bend your wrist. The elbow controls the change
of angle on the snap back. For proper knuckle presentation you should
slightly angle the fist forward to align the radius and ulna in your
arm with your top 2 knuckles so they are in the same line. This will
support your punch . Hope this helps

Through repetition we remember the technique and movement. Through study we find in our self the ability to stay focused on what it is we are trying to accomplish, regardless of what the situation throws in our way.
