Thank you Chief Grandmaster for sharing this with us. I am amazed at the speed and power of your strikes. Did anyone notice Chief Grandmaster’s snap-back when he performed the heel palm strikes? I find that it takes me longer to perform a snapback on an open handed strike. Any suggestions on how to make this snap back more fluid?
Thank you so much CGM Dearman.
From way down in East TN it is awesome to be able to experience such direct training. Also nice to see the faces of so many of my dearly loved Sanchin Ryu family : )
Chief Grandmaster, first, thank you for sharing your time with us.
If I’m understanding the lesson correctly we will develop the most power when the track of the strike follows a path just inside of our knee, would that vary with the strike? Will we develop more (or the maximum) amount of power using this track regardless if we are using an ichi, heel palm, san or shi? and.. is it the torque of the hip that makes the heel kick out prior to the strike in the lesson you are sharing?
Thank you in advance for your response.

It appears that the movement of the body, the forward motion of the knee, hip, and the heel palm is the power behind the strike. The snap back is the release of the power and the re-direction of motion. Please correct me if I am wrong.

After the workout tonight, I had to come back and view this one again. It is truly amazing.
