Your words are, and have always been an inspiration to me. Sanchin-ryu has been a part of my life for over 15 years and it continues to be a mainstay as well as a wellspring of new ideas and concepts. Here is to many new beginnings. I am proud of all that we are and what your (our) family continues to do. Thanks, senseiron

in my very limited knowledge and experience with sanchin ryu, as well as prior studies of tkd many years ago the journey has been primarily about learning and performing the movements. through these experiences I have noticed other benefits of study spilling over into my life “off the mat” but The words i just read have spoken a profound message that I realize is the reason; the reason I am where I am…
Goals: class study, sweat, smile, strategy of life, discovery of self :-)

I think this online dojo is the neatest idea! And it has started at the perfect time for me…lots of unknowns in my life right now and lots of things ending. It all can be so overwhelming. Then again, some words in one of my favorite songs are, “Destinations are where we begin.”

Ain’t it cool when it clicks!

This morning on my way to work I was thinking about one of the CBAs. Last summer one of our esteemed masters showed me the way that he does a CBA, and I was totally amazed. I thought, well, I could never do that; I don’t have the strength to do it that way. And then it clicked–I don’t have to do that CBA exactly as he did–because I need to make it work for me. And at that moment, it all clicked that I have to make Sanchin Ryu my own. I had heard that many times and thought I understood, but this morning, it just CLICKED.

Thanks Chief Grand Master for sharing all you have with us! Sanchin Ryu is SO cool.

Through repetition we remember the technique and movement. Through study we find in our self the ability to stay focused on what it is we are trying to accomplish, regardless of what the situation throws in our way.
